Audi R8 V10 in for stage 1 Revo along with a full service. The end result was very good, a gain of approximately 50 BHP really did help this very fast car be amazingly fast but the over all driving experience was what was most noticeable. Driving the car daily now becomes even more enjoyable and the power delivery is smoother with a more linear throttle response making daily driving very enjoyable indeed.
Stage 1 software details for your AUDI, R8, 5.2 V10 Naturally Aspirated (525 bhp)
In standard form the V10 R8 couldn’t be classed as a slow car, with over 500bhp, a sub 4.0second 0-60 time and a top speed of very close to 200mph it has performance that previously hasn’t been associated with factory Audi’s. It is however massively under-performing in standard form…
…that’s politics for you and all because of its Italian cousin the Lamborghini Gallardo. The R8 is somewhat limited from the factory, which allows us to undo the noose around its neck and work our usual magic to extract its real potential.
With a vehicle that’s capable of 200mph Revo adjustability really comes into it’s own. Throttle response is a personal preference; lower settings give you more control using the throttle and higher values can give the car a very aggressive ‘feel’ when you lightly touch the throttle, neither is wrong so the setting is setup to suit the individual driver and the conditions the car is being used in. Fuelling and Timing adjustment is setup to suit the fuel quality run and again conditions, we give the R8 V10 plenty of headroom on the road so should it be taken to V-Max and put through it’s paces on the track it will be 100% happy. If the car is being used in a various conditions the the Revo SPS is very beneficial, the three user presets can be setup to give a number of performance setting combinations. For example a 99ron road, track, and low octane mode could be set, giving you the best setup for each condition.
