Performance stage1 - 2.0 TSI (200 BHP) Performance optimizing by reprogramming engine control system (e.c.u) Gains vary depending on engine but typically we see an increase between 50 - 60 bhp and the same with torque. We recommend upgrading the air filter and the dump valve when performing a stage 1 tune.
Performance stage 2 - 2.0 TSI (200 - 260 BHP) With stage 2 we build on what was installed in stage 1. Adding a sports exhaust system will not only give a pleasant soundtrack but also enable the engine to breath more easily adding to it's efficiency and producing more power and torque. With the addition of hi flow sports cats coupled with a sports exhaust system we can carry out a stage 2 performance program to further increase bhp and torque.
Additional componentsTo further enhance the tuning potential of your car you may consider the following upgrades. While modifying the 2.0T FSI engine to higher levels, it became quickly apparent that an additional volume of high-pressure fuel was needed to make horsepower, especially in the midrange (3000-5000rpm) of the powerband.
In order to address the lack of fuel in the midrange, an upgraded FSI fuel pump is needed to increases the volume of fuel from the high pressure pump by over 40%. Simplified, this is achieved by modifying some key internal parts within the pump. Changing these components requires precision machining of the new components with special surface treatments, as well as enlarged, redesigned seals.
Upgrade the intake system further by adding a cold air intake system like the Carbonio or the Forge CIA. Adding an additional front mounted intercooler can reduce intake temperatures.
